About Jenkins Fishing Service & Motel

Jenkin’s Fishing Service & Motel has been a fixture on the White River in Calico Rock, Arkansas, since 1958. What started as a family passion for the river has grown into the longest-running fishing and lodging operation in the region, built on a straightforward promise: treat every guest well, put them onto fishing, and send them home with a memory worth keeping. In 2021, after retiring from the Army, David McCulley and his wife purchased the business. 5 generations of the McCulley family have fished Jenkins starting in 1959. Our Story

Established in 1958 by Guy & Eva Jenkins, Jenkins Fishing Service is Calico Rock’s first and oldest trout fishing service. After construction of the Bull Shoals and Norfork Dams, Guy saw an opportunity in the newly introduced trout.

The White River has become known as one of the premier trout fisheries in the country, and for years the Jenkins family shared their knowledge with anglers from across the region and beyond.

What We Offer

Jenkin’s Fishing Service & Motel is a full-service fishing and lodging destination on the White River in Calico Rock, AR. Here is what you will find when you visit.

Guided Fishing Trips

Our experienced fishing guides lead full-day and half-day trips on the White River, covering 10 to 12 miles of some of the best trout water in Arkansas. Everything is included: boat, motor, fuel, rods, bait, chairs, life jackets, landing nets, and a cooler stocked with drinks. Full-day trips include a shore lunch of cooked trout and fried chicken. We have been guiding anglers since 1958, and our guides know these waters better than anyone.

Boat Rentals

Do you prefer to explore the river on your own? We offer half-day and full-day fishing boat rentals on the White River, with 20-foot fiberglass boats available with 15hp or 20hp motors. All gear is included, and rod and reel rentals are available as add-ons.

Kayak Rentals

For a quieter day on the water, our river kayak rentals offer three float trip options ranging from 3 to 17 miles, with shuttle service included with every rental. A great fit for fishing, sightseeing, or just enjoying the scenery at your own pace.

Motel Rooms

Our on-site motel puts you 5 minutes from the fishing dock and within walking distance of historic downtown Calico Rock and local restaurants. Rooms start at $70 + tax per night and accommodate up to four guests. We offer standard rooms, a king suite with Murphy bed, and rooms with a full kitchenette. Ask about our room and fishing package deals.
